The Merdeka Celebration this year marked the 50th years of independence. I think my kids are enjoying Merdeka Celebration very much - for Aliya, this is her first experience (second one actually if the one when she was still in mama's tummy is counted!).
Maybe they will soon understand how much it meads to be independent.
For now, at least they know the word Merdeka!
